Early Life and Career:

Stoinis was born in a family of sports enthusiasts. His father, Chris Stoinis was a former Australian rules football player; his mother is of Greek descent. From a young age, Stoinis showed a keen interest in cricket and started playing for local teams in Perth.

He made his debut for Western Australia in 2008 and played for them until 2012. He then moved to Victoria and started playing for them in the 2012-13 season. In his first season for Victoria, he impressed with both bat and ball, scoring 385 runs and taking 14 wickets.

International Career:

In a T20I match against England in 2015, Stoinis made his debut for Australia at the international level.He made an immediate impact, scoring 146 runs in his first two innings at an average of 73.00. He was then picked for the ODI series against New Zealand in 2017 and made his mark with a match-winning performance in the first ODI.

Stoinis was then picked for the Champions Trophy in 2017, where he showed his all-around abilities, scoring 146 runs and taking six wickets in the tournament. He was also picked for the Australian team for the 2019 World Cup and played a crucial role in the team’s campaign, scoring 87 runs in the semi-final against England.

Stoinis has also represented Australia in Test cricket, making his debut against Sri Lanka in 2019. He has played three Tests so far, scored 206 runs, and taken five wickets.

IPL Career:

Stoinis has also been a part of the Indian Premier League (IPL) since 2015. He started his IPL career with the Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) and played for them for two seasons before moving to Kings XI Punjab in 2017. He then moved back to Delhi in 2019 and has been a key player for the team ever since.

In the 2020 IPL, Stoinis was one of the standout performers, scoring 352 runs and taking 13 wickets in 17 matches. He was instrumental in Delhi Capitals’ run to the final, where they lost to Mumbai Indians.
