IND vs AUS WTC Final: Australia ended day 1 of the World Test Championship Final against India on Wednesday with 327 runs after losing three wickets at the Oval. After losing three wickets early on Day 1, Australia’s innings were handled by Travis Head and Steve Smith. Travis Head smashed his sixth Test century as he ended the day with a score of 146 unbeaten to put Australia in a commanding position. Australia also got the best of Steve Smith, who churned out 95 runs off 227 deliveries. With this century, Travis Head has become the only batsman to have scored a century in the WTC Final’s history. Travis Head has been a consistent performer for Australia for quite some time now.

Earlier, India had won the toss and decided to bowl. For India, Mohd. Shami, Mohd. Siraj and Shardul Thakur claimed one wicket each. India is without their spinner Ravichandran Ashwin as they decided to go with Shardul Thakur in place of Ashwin, while they have one spinner in Ravindra Jadeja.
