The team for India’s three-match T20I series against Ireland in Dublin has been unveiled by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The Indian team’s skipper has been announced as star pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who is making his long-awaited comeback from injury.
Bumrah, who had back surgery in New Zealand, has been receiving treatment at the National Cricket Academy for some time. He recently bowled his entire quota of 10 overs against a Mumbai team at the Alur grounds.
He missed the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia because he had been injured since September 2022. He also missed the 2023 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), where he plays for the Mumbai Indians.
Prasidh Krishna, a Karnataka pacer, has also been added to the team by the selectors and Ruturaj Gaikwad has also been selected as the vice captain for this tour
