The West Indies team has won the first match of their T20 series against India. The Windies team prevailed by 4 runs in the opening game of this five-game T20 series, which was held at Trinidad’s Brian Lara Stadium. The Indian team, which was chasing a 150-run target, was initially dominant in the game, but in the 16th over of the innings, captain Hardik and Sanju Samson went back to the pavilion, and the game was over.

To win this match, the Indian team needed 10 runs in the last over. Kuldeep Yadav, on the other hand, went back to the pavilion on the first ball, after which Chahal took 1 run and Arshdeep Singh got the strike on the second ball. India needed seven runs in the final three balls after scoring two on the third ball; however, the fourth ball resulted in a dot ball. Arshdeep Singh was run out on the fifth ball after failing to get back for a second. The West Indies won the match by 4 runs after India failed to score 6 runs off the penultimate ball.

Jason Holder of the Windies shone with the ball, conceding only 19 runs in four overs, including a double-wicket maiden. Akeal Hosein was similarly economical, taking one wicket, while Obed McCoy and Romario Shepherd each took two. Arshdeep and Yuzvendra Chahal were the best bowlers for India, claiming two wickets each in the end.

Tilak Varma, a youthful batter for India, was the lone fighter who hit 39 runs and attempted to mount a comeback, but it was ultimately insufficient. In addition to Tilak, Suryakumar Yadav made a run-a-ball 21 as he, Hardik Pandya, Sanju Samson, and Axar Patel made a promising start but were unable to capitalize on it. The Indian team played in its 200th T20 international encounter, but the Windies triumphed.
