IND vs WI: In Guyana, Team India finally achieved victory. Suryakumar Yadav silenced all of the naysayers by scoring 83 runs in 42 balls as part of the 160 runs that the Windies team needed to reach their goal. Suryakumar made shots all over the field while forgetting his defeats in the first two games. In the post-game presentation, Suryakumar, who was named player of the game for his outstanding innings, explained what was going through his mind.

Suryakumar said – “Today we talked in the team meeting. Our captain said someone needs to raise their hand and win the match, glad I was able to do that. These were the things running through my mind during the match. Suryakumar said that when I went to bat in the powerplay, it was really important that I was there and the team management wanted the same. I played my shots which I had practiced a lot. I love doing this too“.

On sharing an 87-run partnership with Tilak verma, Suryakumar said that “we have batted together for a long time. We both understand how to bat. Tilak dressing up his innings in this way must have given him a lot of confidence. His innings was brilliant“. Suryakumar won the 12th Player of the Match of his T20 career. He has played only 51 matches. He has equaled Rohit Sharma. Virat Kohli (15) is ahead of him now.
