Bangladesh Asia Cup 2023: Bangladesh has announced its team for the Asia Cup 2023. Young players have been given a chance by the team. Shakib Al Hasan has been selected as the captain by the Bangladesh Cricket Board.. For the first time, Tanzid Tamim and Shamim Hossain have been given a shot in the team. Bangladesh has put together a well-balanced team for the Asia Cup. Young players have been given opportunities alongside senior players in the team. The team includes Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahedi Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman, and Hasan Mahmood. Mohammad Naim and Afif Hossain have also been given a shot.

Mahedi Hasan has rejoined the Bangladesh team after a lengthy absence. He played his final ODI for the team against New Zealand in March 2021. He has only played three One-Day Internationals so far. He has two wickets in this game. Hassan’s last T20 International match was on September 2022. He has 30 wickets in 38 games in this format.

Let us remind you that the first match of the Asia Cup 2023 will be played on August 30th between Pakistan and Nepal. At the same time, Bangladesh will play its first match against Sri Lanka.
