IND vs RSA: Suryakumar Yadav becomes the quickest to score four centuries in T20I Internationals

India’s brilliant T20 star batsman and stand-in T20i captain, Suryakumar Yadav, played a captain’s knock of 100 runs from 56 balls in the 3rd T20i match against South Africa, which was the series decider, and his knock helped the Men in Blue level the series 3-match T20i series 1-1 against the Proteas.

It wasn’t the usual SKY knock by any means, as the Indian captain started off slowly, took his time to settle, and scored just 27 runs in 25 balls before getting into his usual superhuman form and hitting 3 sixes and a 4 in a row in the 13th over against all-rounder Andile Phehlukwayo, bringing his half century off just 32 balls. He didn’t stop there, as he continued his assault against the South African bowlers and brought up his fourth T20i century in just 55 balls.

Following in the footsteps of Glenn Maxwell and Rohit Sharma, SKY is now the third batsman in T20 international history to score four hundreds. During the third Twenty20 International against the Proteas, in his 57th inning, Surya broke another record as he became the fastest batter to reach four tons in Twenty20 Internationals.

Glenn Maxwell needed 92 innings to get to his fourth century against India in the third Twenty20 international match in Guwahati, and Rohit Sharma scored his fourth century against the Windies in his 79th T20i inning.

Batsmen who have scored the most 100’s in T20 internationals
