In the mini-auction of 2023, the Chennai Super Kings franchise bought a total of 7 players in their team, out of which the most expensive player is England’s all-rounder Ben Stokes. Stokes paid 16.25 crores in Chennai Super Kings.
Kyle Jamieson, a bowling all-rounder from New Zealand, was Chennai’s second major purchase in addition to Stokes. To complete their lineup for the IPL 2023, the franchise additionally paid 50 lakh rupees ($100,000) each for Ajinkya Rahane, Shaik Rasheed, Nishant Sindhu, Ajay Mandal, and Bhagath Varma.
