IPL 2024: According to news sources, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has parted company with head coach Sanjay Bangar and director of cricket operations Mike Hesson in advance of the 2024 season. RCB will now go on a hunt to choose a new Director and coach for their team.

Even though it is said that Mike Hesson and Sanjay Bangar got along well with veteran players like Virat Kohli, it has been decided to dismiss both of them from their positions. Mike Hesson and Sanjay Bangar have been associated with the Royal Challengers Bangalore for the past five years. Bowling Coach Adam Griffith’s future with the Franchise is also up in the air.

Why Did RCB Take Such a Decision?

It is speculated that team director Mike Hesson and coach Sanjay Bangar have come under scrutiny as a result of Royal Challengers Bangalore’s poor performance in the IPL 2023 season. In actuality, the Faf du Plessis-led Royal Challengers Bangalore were unable to make the playoffs this season. In the points standings, Royal Challengers Bangalore was ranked sixth.
