IPL 2023 New Rules
IPL 2023 is finally here after a long delay. The Indian Premier League’s sixteenth season began on March 31 with the first game. Many regulations were in evidence during the Gujarat Titans vs. Chennai Super Kings game that took place in Ahmedabad. The first encounter of the season is being met with a lot of excitement among cricket fans. The IPL 2023, however, will be unique in and of itself because many new regulations have been put into place this time. This season will become even more thrilling after these guidelines are added. 1. What is Impact Player
The IPL 2023 most crucial impact player regulation. This topic is being discussed widely. Each squad has one player it can replace during the game. Even if a squad has four foreign players, they cannot be used as impact players. They will be forced to remove any foreign participant from the game in this situation. The impact player may be selected before the fourteenth over, per the regulations. If a player departs the field after the Impact Player has arrived, they are not allowed to return to the game. The captain must identify the four players who will have an effect during the toss.
2. Playing 11 must be disclosed after the toss
It was previously required that the team captain inform the starting XI prior to the toss. The skipper will now reveal his starting XI after the toss, though. The captain will have two distinct squad sheets with him or her during the toss. Depending on how the toss goes, he will reveal his starting lineup.
3. Wide-no-ball DRS will be available
The Women’s Premier League, which just ended, and the opening game between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans on March 31 in Ahmedabad both featured a number of regulations that were in play. Teams that used DRS when there was no ball or wide. Currently, the IPL has also adopted this regulation. The batting squad and bowling team can use DRS for wide or no ball if the umpire’s ruling is not accepted.
4. If an unjust action is taken, there will be a dead ball.
If any team member, including the wicketkeeper, engages in an inappropriate act prior to putting the ball, the ball will be ruled dead during the IPL 2023 contest. In this case, there will be an additional 5 runs added as a penalty for the batting side.
5. Punishment will be provided for the game’s slow overrate
In IPL, the slow rate is a topic that is frequently addressed. However, if a squad does so this time, it will be penalized during the actual game. Just like in a T20 International game, there will only be four players at the boundary for the number of overs bowled after the cut-off time. By the way, the captain may retain 5 players on the sidelines after the powerplay.
