According to a news report, the BCCI may hold IPL 2024 earlier than the scheduled date because it is expected to clash with the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections. IPL may begin on March 22nd, with last year’s IPL taking place from March 31 to May 29. But right now, World Cup 2023 is the only thing on everyone’s mind. Any decision will be made only after this.
There is a chance of staging the IPL season in another country in addition to finishing it soon. However, only India will receive preference. The IPL has already been held overseas. Because of the Lok Sabha elections in 2009, South Africa was chosen to host the IPL. During the same period, some of its matches were held in the UAE due to the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. And a few games took place in India. Bangalore hosted the 2014 IPL final and Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders competed in the game.
