For the first time in the tournament’s history, the 16th edition of Asia Cup (Asia Cup 2023) would be contested in a hybrid format. The matches will take place in Pakistan and Sri Lanka, however Pakistan will still have the main hosting rights of the tournament. This competition will include six teams. The tournament will get off on August 30 in Multan with a match between hosts Pakistan and Nepal. The Asia Cup 2023 Opening Ceremony will take place before the commencement of the competition. A huge update has come out regarding when and where this opening ceremony will take place.
The Asia Cup 2023 opening ceremony will take place in Pakistan. This opening ceremony will be held prior to the Pakistan vs. Nepal game on August 30. Fans in India will be able to watch the opening ceremony live on Hotstar and the Star Sports network but the exact time of the ceremony (Asia Cup 2023 Opening Ceremony) has not yet been revealed.

Nepal vs. Pakistan on August 30
Bangladesh vs. Sri Lanka on August 31
India against. Pakistan on September 2
Bangladesh vs. Afghanistan on September 3
India vs. Nepal on September 4.

The Super-4 matchups will take place following the group round matches. The Asia Cup 2023 Super-4 matches will take place on September 6, 9, 10, 12, 14, and 15.
Format of the Asia Cup 2023:
The 2023 Asia Cup will be played in the One Day International (ODI) format, with each team playing one inning of 50 overs each. The matches will be played in both day and night conditions.
