IND vs PAK World Cup 2023: The Pakistan team recently agreed to play in the ICC ODI World Cup, which begins on October 5 in India. However, there was talk on behalf of the Pakistani government of providing additional security to their team in India. The Ministry of External Affairs of the Government of India has now said unequivocally that no special treatment of any type will be given to the Pakistan squad.
According to the Pakistani website Geo News, India has refused to grant the Pakistan cricket team preferential treatment. According to Arindam Bagchi, the official spokesperson for the Government of India’s Ministry of External Affairs, no preferential treatment will be offered to the Pakistan team. Pakistan’s team is just as essential to us as any other. In terms of security, these questions should be directed to our security agencies and event organisers.
Previously, when Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry granted permission for its team to play in India, it stated that “we do not want to mix sports with politics.” As a result, we have chosen to send our cricket team to India to compete in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.
The Pakistan team will play their matches in 5 different cities of India. This consists of Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, and Kolkata. On October 6, Pakistan will play its first match in the big tournament, against the Netherlands. At the same time, they will play against India on October 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Before the ODI World Cup, fans can watch India take on Pakistan in the Asia Cup on September 2nd.
